Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Format Requirements:
● File Format: .doc or .docx
● Font: 12-point Times New Roman
● Spacing: Double-spaced
● Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
● Page Numbers: Bottom right
● Headers: Include chapter titles
● Footnotes/Endnotes: Use a recognized academic style guide (Chicago, MLA, APA, etc.)
Content Organization
Your manuscript should include: Title Page, Table of Contents, Preface/Foreword, Acknowledgments, Introduction, Main Text, Conclusion, Bibliography/References, Appendices, and optionally, an Index.
Images and Illustrations
Submit all figures, tables, and illustrations as separate high-resolution files (minimum 300 dpi). Indicate placement within the manuscript using clear markers (e.g., [Insert Figure 1 here]). Provide captions and source information for all visual elements and ensure you have secured permission for any copyrighted material.
Length Guidelines
Academic monographs: 70,000–100,000 words
Edited collections: 70,000–120,000 words
Textbooks: 60,000–100,000 words
Professional guides: 40,000–80,000 words
Submission Process
Initial Proposal
Submit a proposal including: Cover Letter, Project Overview (title, 200–300 word summary, chapter summaries, word count, timeline), Author Information (CV, contact), Market Analysis (audience, competitors, USP), and 1–2 sample chapters.

Email Submission: Download the Book Proposal Form, complete it, and send it to editor@seagullpublications.com with the subject line "Book Proposal in (Your Working Title)".
Evaluation Process
Initial Screening: 1–2 weeks
Editorial Review: 2–4 weeks
Peer Review (for academic works): 6–8 weeks
Outcome: Acceptance, Revision Request, or Rejection
Contract and Production
Upon acceptance, a publishing agreement will be issued. You'll collaborate with our editorial team through copyediting, design, layout, proofreading, and indexing (if applicable). The book will be published in both print and digital formats.
Rights and Royalties
Competitive royalty rates on net sales. Authors retain copyright and grant publishing rights. Royalties are paid semi-annually.
Open Access Options
Gold Open Access: Immediate with APC.
Green Open Access: Repository deposit after embargo.
Hybrid Model: Select chapters open access.
